The Challenge
A film of this emotional weight needs a visual identity — titles and motion graphics — that honour its tone from the very first frame. The design had to feel intimate and specific to the world of the film, rooted in the textures and spirit of Nova Scotia, not generic.
The Solution
Independent films like Hailey Rose are why we do what we do. With a story this honest and a production that needed every resource counted, we brought our full creative commitment to bear — designing the title sequence and motion graphics from scratch, crafting a visual language rooted in the quiet intimacy of Nova Scotia and the film’s emotional world.
We don’t treat indie productions as smaller jobs. We treat them as exactly what they are: films that matter, made by people who believe in what they’re telling. Across 139 VFX shots delivered over six to eight weeks, we gave Hailey Rose the visual identity it deserved — and we’d do it again without hesitation.
Perspective
Hailey Rose is a Canadian comedy-drama with a beautifully human story at its core. It follows Hailey (Em Haine), a woman who has spent ten years estranged from her Nova Scotia family after being unfairly blamed for her father’s death, who is called back home after her mother passes away — only to discover a stunning secret waiting for her.
Directed by Sandi Somers and produced by Connect3 Media and Iylond Entertainment, the film premiered at Cinéfest Sudbury and screened at the Calgary and Whistler Film Festivals. We were brought in to lead the creative design of the film’s title sequence and motion graphics — building its visual identity from scratch. Across 139 VFX shots in four weeks, we helped give this heartfelt indie exactly the visual tone it deserved.
